The song relates to his want for a younger sister and is essentially a speech about his imagination of what it would have been like.

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN VISUALS + LYRICS:

There is a loose relationship between the visuals and the lyrics. In the song during the chorus it says "remember that I promised her some pancakes, so I stagger to the stove and start to stand braze, see I make them like my nan makes. This also links to an organisation he has set up which supports people living with ADHD and helps get them into cooking. Therefore the video has a very personal touch.

GENRE CHARACTERISTICS:

The video goes against almost all characteristics, the rise en scene does't change, but with the lyrics and the connection the video works very well in keeping us entertained. In my opinion it stands by 'less is more', as the simplest of things can be very engaging.

INTERTEXTUALITY?:

The intertextuality is quite in depth in my opinion. Ben Coyle Larner as he's otherwise known lives with ADHD and dyslexia, he has set up a cooking school for young people 'suffering' with ADHD to help them see and understand to live with it and then they can achieve whatever they want to, as oppose to them being told they can't focus on anything and therefore be successful. Within the song it talks about making pancakes 'like his nan does' for his sister, the video is a visual representation of this.
