Since our first rough cut, we have essentially re-formatted and approached the edit in a whole new way. To begin with our original rough cut (seen here) was done on Final Cut Pro, which caused nothing but issues for us during our edit, one being the colour grading and correction. We have since made the move to Premiere Pro. We started on our new edit from scratch, but after 2 weeks our timeline became a mess and the quality was dropping significantly. We decided to start again on February the 15th. On February 16th, this is the stage we had got to (rough cut 2). By filing all of our clips along with grouping them together we managed to work through them relatively quickly.
What now?
From here we wish to film more clips to fill out the rest of the duration of Odesza's It's Only. The song is longer than we had anticipated and we haven't enough high quality clips to put in, we also want to avoid filling it with random clips which don't add anything to the overall picture. The extra shoot will take place over February 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th. We will then import these and add them to the video. This will generate rough cut 3.
