Post rough cut 2, we have extended the production to see out the rest of the song, we were left with some time gap to fill, approximately just over a minute and left scratching our heads as to what to fill this time with that wasn't just there to fill the time and add nothing to the production. I came up with the concept of an extra scene whereby the protagonist is seen to begin to panic and rushes home, made evident through physical signs connoting his worry. This helped us to see out the rest of the song, but also end the video on the note we wanted to, adding to a production more direction connection between the lyrics and the visuals through the quote 'they're only thoughts that I'm having'. The protagonist has removed himself from the situation and then comes to the epiphany that perhaps he was wrong. We see little from the antagonists point of view which leaves us wondering and keeps the audience engaged.
From here I wish to colour correct to provide a professional look and to add titles which is a requirement set by ODESZA's management team when we were granted permission to use this song. In conclusion I am very happy with the progress and I think the smaller aspects such as colour will have a significant aspect on the overall success of the production, our main goal is to create something of a high quality which remains within the conventions.
